Every girl dreams about their wedding dress. It is probably the biggest decision you will have to make about your wedding. You will be the center of attention all night long, so you want to look the best that you can. Here are some tips for when you get to the dress shop to find that perfect dress.

Do not search too hard. Sometimes a bride rushes into purchasing a dress thinking it may not be there anymore. The dress will still be there if you are not 100 percent sold on the dress. Keep looking. Visit as many dress shops as you can until you find something that is right for you. It is better to wait than to have to purchase two wedding dresses.

Think outside the box. Just because you have dreams about a certain dress does not mean that the style will look good on you. Pick out many different styles to try on while at the dress shop. You might be surprised and pick out the one that you would have least expected to pick.

Try on accessories with the dress while you have it on. If you believe that you want a veil or gloves, try them on with the dress that you like the most. Do not pick them out after you have purchased the dress, they may not match. The store associate should be able to match a veil or gloves with just about any style of dress. Use him/her as a reference as often as possible.

Do not take anyone with you to the try-outs of the dress if they are going to sway your way of thinking. I chose not to take my mom to the dress fittings because she wanted me to wear a traditional style dress like she wore. If I would have taken her, she would have convinced me to change my mind about the dress that I really wanted. Instead, take someone who will honestly tell you what flatters you body shape and what doesn't. The person that is honest with you is a big help if you are not sure of what style dress you want.
